This database of Unclaimed Property was drawn from the Utah State Treasurer. and includes records from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Users can find name, address, city and property id for current and former Utah residents who have money and other assets held in custody for them by the State Treasurer.
Unclaimed Property can consist of checking accounts, certificates of deposit, over payments, gift certificates, paid-up life insurance policies, unpaid wages, commissions, uncashed checks, death benefits, dividends, insurance payments, money orders, refunds, savings accounts, stocks and contents of safe deposit boxes. The database does not include real estate.
Users can visit the Unclaimed Property Division website and use their property id number to find more specific information related to their unclaimed property. Unlike UtahsRight, this site excludes any claims that have already been paid.
